Documentation
The research projects "University Collections in Germany: Studies on Holdings and History" and "Material Models in Research and Teaching" were supported by the DFG from 2004 to 2012. The projects were based at Hermann von Helmholtz-Zentrum für Kulturtechnik at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and were headed by Dr Cornelia Weber.
The research project "University Collections in Germany" had three goals:
- to record as many university collections in Germany as possible, taking into account collections that no longer exist;
- the collection of relevant data on holdings and history, and
- the presentation of the results on the Internet.
The research project "Material Models" pursued the goal of recording and examining three-dimensional material models in research and teaching and making them accessible to research in a decentralised, usable, multimedia online object database.
